Yoga I have been teaching Yoga for the past 15 years, and studied mainly in India under the skilful guidance of various accomplished teachers from the Bihar School of Yoga and Swami Isa in Kerala. I'm currently teaching group and private classes in Hastings, East Sussex.
The emphasis is on understanding the subtle currents (Nadis) that constantly flow through the organism and an opening to the presence of the heart, the seat of the self.

Meditation A perfect accompaniment to Yoga is the skilful art of sitting meditation practise. I've studied various meditative techniques including those of Buddhism, Mantra Yoga, and self enquiry. The biggest challenge facing man in this day and age is to understand and directly experience our True Nature, which is likened to a silent emptiness. By allowing ourselves to be still, the mental agitations eventually settle down and with skilful guidance the focus of attention is directed to the heart centre, whilst residing the mind in the heart, a natural opening takes place and a sense of peace, well being, and heightened sensitivity will arise. With constant practice, the meditation naturally overlaps into ones day to day activities, making ones life's journey a more pleasant and less stressful experience. |
